It is a joyful feeling of rightness in one’s gender/sex!
What Does it Look like?
Gender euphoria can be emotional, psychological, or even physical. YOUR experience with gender euphoria will be/is unique!
For example, you might feel it when:
Being addressed with the correct/affirming name and pronouns
Seeing your appearance reflect how you understand your gender
Wearing and having access to clothing, hairstyles, or accessories that feel congruent to your expression
Having your gender respected in social, family, or professional settings including genders outside of the binary and/or assigned at birth
Experiencing your body in a way that feels congruent with your identity(s)
The experience can be big and noticeable (excitement, relief, happiness) or quiet and subtle (calm, ease, a sense of “this feels right”).

Gender Dysphoria is a diagnosis used to describe a marked, clinically significant distress or impairment in functioning caused by a, at least 6-month, incongruence between one's experienced/expressed gender and their assigned birth gender (Per DSM 5).

How to build/practice Gender Euphoria -
But Where to Start?
Consider these as ways to get your gender euphoria skills started:
Give yourself permission to explore what gender euphoria means to you and how to celebrate it within your own way - keeping in mind this exists outside the societal wall of gender as a binary.
Begin with private forms of expression and skill development, like journaling to explore what good looks like/feels like to you. Perhaps its trying on clothes privately, researching haircuts, or shopping for items you find align with your gender (maybe that is wearing different style underwear, learning what sizes you wear in other styles of clothing).
Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself as you learn to express more openly.
Remember to be selective when choosing people and environments: Find groups or communities that encourage and value self-expression and/or gender-expression.
Audit and challenge negative beliefs: Work on reframing thoughts that limit your expression. How do you talk to yourself/refer to yourself? Is it in a positive light? Are you demonstrating affirming care to yourself?
Keep exploring: Try various forms of expression to find what feels most natural to you. This is a journey and certainly can shift and move with you as your learn more and find levels of comfort.
Know your limits: Learn to express yourself while respecting your personal comfort levels. Maybe you are not ready to express yourself at work - that is okay you are still valid and valued.
Get help from trusted sources: A therapist/support group can provide guidance and support in overcoming deep-seated barriers.
